Addis Ababa City Tour

On this Addis Ababa city tour you will explore Ethiopia's capital like a local. Expect to experience an authentic traditional Ethiopian coffee arabica ceremony. The Best of Harar Region-- 3 days 2 nights

Day 1: Fly to Dire Dawa

Take a city tour of Chat Tera market, Kefira market and Dire Dawa railway station. In the afternoon drive to the walled city of Harar. Harar is recognized as the 4th most sacred Islamic city in the world hosting pilgrims after Mecca, Medina and Jerusalem. where you will visit Rimbaud house and also the

National and Harari museums including the house of Ras Mekonnen (father of Haile Selassie)


Day 2: Harar

Today you will have an excursion to the Babile Elephant Sanctuary 25 km south of Harar; where you will also see the camel market. Drive via the "Valley of Marvels", a region of spectacular rock formations to visit homes in the cliff-top village of Koremi.  Visit the important local market in Hajifaj if it is Monday or Friday on the way back to Harar. In the evening you can watch the "Hyena Man" feed wild hyenas or feed them yourself.


Day 3: Fly back to Addis Ababa

Just after breakfast we make our way to the Sheriff Private Museum. Mr. Sheriff began collecting items of archaeological,historical and anthropological importance many years ago and now has a museum for his private collection. Thereafter we drive back to Dire Dawa for your flight to Addis Ababa.

Wonchi Crater Lake Daytrip

Crater Lake enroute enjoying the

magnificent countryside scenery. This

picturesque extinct volcano encompasses a 4km squared crater lake with scattered small islands.  Wonchi is located 150 km from Addis Ababa, it is the perfect weekend getaway destination.
